Meet Aimee

Hello Conservation Enthusiasts!

My name is Aimee and I am The Big Bad Project’s Finance and Accounting Specialist.

By day, I am a seasoned product manager in billing software with over 10 years in the field. In that role, I see projects come to fruition with attention to financial detail. By night, I am Batman. Okay, maybe not, but that would be cool.

I have been with The Big Bad Project since its early conception and have helped guide them in establishing good financial practices. I am passionate about the world around us and believe that every individual can make a difference. It is empowering when you think about it – you really could be the key to making the world a better place!

Master of Finance

Financial Oversight

It is my job to oversee all transactions to ensure funds are spent responsibly and ethically.

Budgets

I work with Shaunna to develop and maintain budgets for the organiation.

Fundraising

It is my responsibility to ensure all budgets and financial reports submitted are accurate.

Internal Audits

Routinely assessing our processes and systems for fiscal responsibility is my jam!

You mean I can support environmental education and hang out with poofy woofs all while applying accounting practices and generating financial reports? Hell. Yes.

Mastering Other Stuff

Da Bubba (Miles) - RIP little Co-Pilot
Introverted (& Extroverted) Awesomeness

Okay, so I am not a complete introvert but I do enjoy staying home with a good book (inspired to keep reading by my book club) or playing a good game.

No matter what I am doing at home, you will find my tuxedo cat (Sabine) nearby and occasionally my wily bearded dragon, Niko, will join us but he is…wily.

When I am not introverting at home, you can find me at local concerts (the goal has been at least one a month), on Lake Michigan, out in my plot at the community garden getting my hands dirty, or spending time with friends.

Supporting My Local Food Economy

I joined a local food co-op, shout out to Wild Onion Market, because I am a strong proponent for bolstering local businesses. In this case ensuring a transparent food system and supporting local farmers, vendors, and economy. The market opens in late 2023 and I am so excited for what the future holds.
