Run Like a Wolf Challenge

This year, the Wolf Conservation Center held its annual Run Like a Wolf Challenge in the month of August. WCC holds this 100 Mile Run challenge to raise funds in order to help them continue to teach others about wolves and their importance to healthy ecosystems.

Through this challenge, they raised $16,000 and we were honored to take part in such a noble cause! One of the best surprises for us was Ambassador Tiberius making their postcard update that goes out with run medals.

We have to admit, we limited our run speed to that of a walk in order to conserve our knees. Our, near daily, walks were in perfect weather the majority of the time and it was a wonderful time to reflect on why we do what we do.

Needless to say (but we’re going to say it anyway), we had a blast and are already looking forward to participating next year!

Why did we participate?

The other day we were asked why we participated in this event since it was not one that our organization hosted and the answer is quite simple – because it benefits wolves.

We here at The Big Bad Project believe that community support is the key to initiating real change. Supporting other like-minded organizations creating a bigger impact, raising visibility on issues that impact biodiversity, wolves, and ecosystems we all share.

Ambassador Tiberius and our team participated in the Run Like a Wolf Challenge because of the wonderful work that the Wolf Conservation Center does. Period. No strings attached. We support them in their mission and we will take every opportunity we can to support them in the future.
