Real Conversation. Shared Knowledge. Sustainable Impact.

The Rescue Network is a growing space for people who care for wolves and wolfdogs to come together, exchange ideas, and support each other as they navigate the challenges of rescue and long-term care together.

This program brings together rescue and sanctuary professionals, along with individuals who care for wolves and wolfdogs in private settings. This network is a space for connection, guidance, and shared learning from people who work with these animals every day.

Through open discussions, collaborative learning, and mutual support, the Rescue Network helps reduce burnout, improve overall care, and strengthen the people behind the work. There’s no competition here, no ego, and no pressure – just a shared commitment to doing better, together.

There is Strength in the Pack

We approach rescue work as a shared responsibility that requires connection, humility, and consistent support. Caring for wolves and wolfdogs can be demanding, isolating, and emotionally complex. That’s why this network exists: to create a space where people can speak honestly, share openly, and learn from one another without fear of judgment or competition.

Built on Trust

We believe that fostering strong, trust-based relationships between rescues, sanctuaries, and owners lead to better collaboration and better outcomes for the animals in their care.

Centered on Community

We encourage open communication, mutual respect, breaking down barriers and creating a space where learning is accessible and collaboration is the norm.

Planning for Longevity

By providing education and consistent guidance, we help owners and caretakers build the skills they need to prevent crisis and create stability from the start.

Rescue Roundtable

This monthly virtual gathering is for anyone involved in the care of wolves and wolfdogs. Each session is an open conversation led by network members and professionals, offering space to share insights, troubleshoot challenges, and connect with others doing similar work.

Resource Library

Our shared resource library is a growing collection of tools, templates, and reference materials contributed by both our team and fellow network members. Whether you’re new to rescue or refining existing practices, these resources are here to support you.

Inside the library, you’ll find things like intake forms and behavior assessments to enclosure build plans, sample enrichment calendars, and sample policies used by other organizations. It’s a living collection that is built by the community, for the community.

This resource is meant to save time, reduce duplication of effort, and strengthen the overall quality of care we provide resident animals. We welcome new contributions and encourage members to share the tools and documents that have helped them the most.

If you’re interested in submitting something to our library, please send us an email at info@thebigbadproject.org.
