A Message from Leadership

In 2024, The Big Bad Project leaned into experimentation and growth across all programs, testing new approaches, expanding reach, and laying critical groundwork for the future. Through Aerial Allies, Wolves in the Classroom, and the Rescue Network, we proved what is possible when science, education, and community work hand in hand.

The year brought challenges, limited capacity, funding pressures, and the complexities of scaling virtual programs, but these obstacles sharpened our focus rather than slowed us down. With the resilience of our team, the dedication of our partners, and the encouragement of our supporters, we remain firmly committed to building lasting coexistence between people and wildlife.

Looking Ahead to 2025

As 2025 begins, The Big Bad Project is building on the momentum of last year with a focus on science, education, and community. Aerial Allies is expanding its research with USDA Wildlife Services and working to bring results into mainstream media, raising public awareness of non-lethal solutions. Wolves in the Classroom has reached tens of thousands of students nationwide in its first full year, and while sustainability remains a challenge, we are committed to finding ways to keep this program strong and accessible. The Rescue Network is poised to deepen its role as a hub for rescues and sanctuaries, with new resources planned to support organizations already stretched thin. Together, these priorities reflect our belief that coexistence is strengthened when science, education, and community work hand in hand, and we are grateful to our partners and supporters who make this progress possible.
